Students & Reading Motivation
Hi there,
I've been reading about Reading Motivation strategies. One simple, yet neglected strategy is a read aloud. Students of all ages enjoy hearing a chapter or a few paragraphs read aloud to them by the teacher.
Another strategy I've "rediscovered" is to tell my students what I am reading. When they see what I read in my spare time, they will eventually see the value in their own reading. I broadcast my readings on https://twitter.com/LibraryRoom401
